Graduate development programme

Our Graduate Development Programme (GDP) has been operating successfully for over 16 years. During your graduate scheme, you can progress towards Chartered Engineer or achieve professional status through another institution should you chose.

The GDP is a two year scheme consisting of 15 business and technical modules designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge and techniques required for a successful career. You will also receive on-the-job and technical training, as well as being appointed a mentor to help you with your career development and progression towards CEng.

My training

The GDP contains 15 carefully designed modules. With mentoring to support the core training, you will be supported in making a smooth transition from your student to professional career. Specialist training is also on offer to help you specialise and enhance yours skills.

You’ll have the chance to get under the skin of our clients by working with them at their sites across the UK as well as at our main site near Romsey. As part of the global Chemring Group you could also have the opportunity to travel and work globally for Roke.

Entry requirements

We will welcome over 200 new graduates over the next five years with 40 arriving in 2017. Competition is high with over 200 applicants each year so you will need a good honours degree in one of the following or related subjects:
